Overview

Sikkim situated in the far Northeastern side of India, wedge in between Nepal and Bhutan to the West and East respectively, and China’s Tibet Autonomous Region to the North.

Sikkim is a land where you inhale tranquility and exhale worries.  A topographic collage of snow-capped Himalayas, mist-shrouded valleys sliced by the tempestuous River Teesta, lush green wilderness, colourful Buddhist gomphas (monasteries) perched atop rocky heights, meadows carpeted with heather and wild flowers, and frozen glaciers, mighty peaks make Sikkim one of the best places to test your trekking skills. 

But it is not only the incredible landscapes that make Sikkim an awesome destination to visit, the state also boasts amazing cultural diversity – over 11 languages – and rich biodiversity.. Along the trails, you will meet Gurung, Limbu, and other ethnic groups and learn about the way of life local language, festivals, rituals.  

Travel to Sikkim

The nearest airport is Bagdogra & Train station is New Jalpaiguri.  a) you can take flight from Delhi to Bagdogra from major airlines or take a fast train to New Jalpaiguri from Kolkata. After reaching Bagdogra / New Jalpaiguir, you have to take a drive of 6 hrs to reach Sikkim.
