The Gulmarg Gondola
Gulmarg also boasts of one of the highest lift-accessible terrains in the world. The Gulmarg Gondola is the highest and longest cable-car in Asia. Completed in May 2005, it consists of two stretches: the first from Gulmarg (2,700m) to Kongdor (3,100m), and the second on up to Apharwat (4,200m) opening a magnificent view of the snowy mountains.
In winters, there are no crowds at the top of the mountain - only eerie silence, cold winds and breathtaking sights of the Nun, Kun and Naga make for an incredible experience.
Skiing enthusiasts are carried up in the gondola to the top to ski down, but even if you are not skiing, still you can take the ride to the top to enjoy the gorgeous scenery.
